Leo’s Tacos Opens in San Francisco

I never dreamed that Leo’s Tacos, my favorite post-concert taco truck in Los Angeles, would come to San Francisco, let alone to my side of the city! But I experienced the joy of seeing it pull into the lot on the corner of Lincoln and the Great Highway for the first time yesterday. The team generously served free tacos and drinks to the 50+ of us who waited a couple of hours for the honor.

Leo’s is known for tacos al pastor, but has a large menu that will be available starting next week. I’m going back immediately for a papa rellena.

If it’s a nice day, do what I did: walk across the street and over the hill onto Ocean Beach to eat. You may find yourself surrounded by a murder of crows, but they are pretty mellow.

Thank you to Susana Guerrero from SFGATE for breaking the story of Leo’s arrival with enough notice that I could actually go on the first day! Regular daily service will start on Thursday, April 10.
